Many, many thanks to the first-rate performers and the many daring and curious guests who dropped in on us at ArtScape on July 19, 2008!
We were thrilled with the quality of the performances and honored to be part of the High Zero Exotic-Hypnotic Series. The After Now show at the University of Baltimore in July was brief, but packed with rich thought-provoking music and mature performances from Nathan Bontrager, Jamie Schneider, Matthew Taylor, Cameron Raeke, Mark Edwards, Jennifer Holbrook, Domenica Romagni, Justin Nurin, Neil Feather, Paul Neidhardt, and Ariana Lamon-Anderson. Andrew Cole's piece was like nothing we had ever heard from him before. Mark Lackey's piece seemed perfectly tailored for Edwards and Holbrook enthusiastic treatment, and Samuel's piece explored the use of an audio "score" to communicate the idea of a musical work, with compelling results.
